iLearn slowness issues
iLearn has been experiencing intermittent slowness for the past 24 hours. You may experience long load times while using iLearn.
Our team is investigating the issue and hopes to resolve the underlying cause soon. In the meantime, we suggest making sure you give yourself enough time to complete tasks in iLearn, such as quizzes, and if you do experience slowness, let us know at ilearn@sfsu.edu with the following details: the time you experienced slowness, what activity you were using (e.g. submitting a quiz), and how long the page took to load. These details will help our team narrow down the cause.
We thank you for your patience as we work to resolve these issues.
Upcoming iLearn Downtimes
iLearn will not be available on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 7:30am to 9:30am and Sunday, October 25 from 8am until 2pm due to a power shutdown to retrofit the campus telecommunications and network infrastructure.
Academic Technology will also use this downtime to upgrade the iLearn's system to improve scalability and overall performance. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please plan accordingly.

New drag and drop functionality in iLearn
During the summer we made many improvements to the way iLearn functions. One of these improvements provides an easier way to move and organize your iLearn courses without needing to refresh your page every time. These advanced web features allow you to drag and drop items within your course to other locations, or reorganize your entire topics if need be. In order to use drag and drop functionality, you will need to be using Firefox version 3 or above, or Internet Explorer 7 or above. As this functionality is new, it will not work for every browser.
The video below shows a quick preview of what you can do with drag and drop, and how to enable it if you do not see the functionality yet.
